Enthusiasm

Dr. Paula Pilcher believes treating the whole person is the most effective way to help people achieve their goals. She seeks to understand each adolescent and young adult patient’s unique needs and challenges, and she works hard to ensure that they can overcome those challenges in a way that works for them.

She has a passion for working with families of adolescents and young adults, as she firmly believes that the family dynamic is an important part of an individual as a whole.

Dr. Pilcher’s approach is holistic: she believes that physical health is connected to mental health, which is connected to social well-being and emotional growth. Expertise

Dr. Pilcher is a naturopathic doctor with a passion for meeting people where they're at, and empowering individuals to take charge of their own health and happiness. She specializes in individualized holistic treatments for each patient, drawing on her knowledge and expertise gained from completing course and clinical work at the National University of Natural Medicine, and the Oregon School of Massage.

She received her Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education, Biology and Psychology in 2002 at Emporia State University after which she taught Human Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology, Biology I, Biology II, and Physical Science at Emporia High School and FL Schlagle High School in Kansas City.

Dr. Paula has been a teacher since 2002, first as an anatomy and physiology instructor at Emporia High School in Kansas, then as a biology teacher at Schlagle High School in Kansas City, MO. She's also worked at a group home for troubled teens for 2 ½ years, prior to becoming a massage therapist.

Her philosophy is simple: "We should be able to live our lives without pain." She believes that an integrative approach is the best way to achieve this goal. Her treatments are individualized according to each patient's needs and preferences—she doesn't believe there is one-size-fits-all treatment for anything!
